Postdoctoral Research Position is now available within the framework of the recently established research group, Turbomachinery and Heat Transfer Laboratory, located at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering. We are currently searching for motivated individuals interested in the broad areas of Turbomachinery, Heat Transfer, Thermal Management, Novel Cooling Methodologies, Flow Control, Computations Fluid Dynamics and Non-Intrusive Measurement Technique Development. Opportunities are available to pursue scientific research in a variety of fundamental and applied topics.
Requested Postdoctoral Researcher Profile:
Holder of a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
A solid background in the following subjects is valuable: Turbomachinery, Heat Transfer and Thermal Management, Thermo-Acoustics, Turbine Cooling and External Flows, Active Flow Control, Experimental —Measurement Techniques.
Knowledge of programming languages (such as Labview, Matlab) and expertise in finite element/volume solvers (such as COMSOL, Fluent, CFX) may be beneficial.
Candidates are expected to be self-motivated, hardworking and team players.
Applicants with experimental backgrounds will be given preference.
The appointment is for one year (with a possible extension up to three years).
The laboratory is located on campus, and close to the city center. We maintain a very friendly environment, which will provide easy adaptation for the selected applicant.
