The Department of Electrical & Biomedical Engineering at the University of Vermont seeks applicants for a Professor of Practice position in Biomedical Engineering with an expected start date of August 15, 2020. We seek a highly motivated individual with robust interest in undergraduate engineering education who is excited to develop and teach a new vertically-integrated course sequence in BME design and oversee operation of UVM’s Center for Biomedical Innovation (CBI). The CBI will be an internationally-recognized destination for the development of data-supported biomedical devices that address pressing challenges in rural medicine as well as the training of future biotechnology inventors, innovators, entrepreneurs and business leaders.
The successful candidate will have significant biomedical design experience in an industrial setting.
