The Oklahoma State University (Stillwater, Oklahoma) invites highly qualified candidates to apply for tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). (Other ranks may be considered depending on the candidate’s level of experience.) The School seeks candidates with expertise in the broad areas of computer engineering and RF/microwave electronics. For highly exceptional candidates, other areas in Electrical Engineering will also be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants should clearly identify in their cover letter and research statement their expertise and experience in computer engineering, RF/microwave electronics and any specific hardware, software or computational applications that have been successfully addressed. The School intends to hire two highly qualified candidates (contingent on available funds).
The School currently has 18 full-time faculty members, 418 undergraduate students and 55 graduate students. The School operates numerous laboratories including a) the VLSI Computer Architecture Research Laboratory, b) the Laboratory for Advanced Sensing, Computation and Control, c) the Power Grid Modernization Laboratory, d) the Sustainable Energy Systems Laboratory, and e) the Mixed-Signal VLSI Laboratory. These labs are equipped with state-of-the-art instruments, computers, and experimental capabilities that support the School’s broad array of funded research projects. Numerous opportunities exist for collaboration with OSU's internationally recognized Oklahoma Aerospace Institute for Research and Extension, and the New Product Development Center.
The School offers the BS, MS, MEng, and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering and the BS degree in Computer Engineering with an option in Software Engineering. The School’s baccalaureate programs are ABET accredited. Research thrusts within the School include a) Communications, Networks and Internet-of-Things (loT), b) Electromagnetic Wave Propagation and Systems, c) Energy and Power, d) Image Formation, Signal Processing and Machine Vision, e) Intelligent Control Systems and Robotics, f) Photonics and Electro-Optics, g) Solid State Electronics and Systems, and h) Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI), Computer Architecture and Embedded Systems.
