Applications are invited for one position of Postdoctoral Fellow in Signal (vital signs) Processing design at Biomedical Circuits and Systems Lab (http://www.bicasl.org) at School of Microelectronics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). The term is for three years and possible to convert to a tenure-track position. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experiences.
SJTU is a top university in China, best known for its engineering schools, ranked top 50 worldwide. BiCASL is a group known for its achievement in biomedical circuits and systems. The successful applicant for this position will join a highly dedicated multi-disciplinary team to develop cutting edge devices for vital signs sensing devices.
The post holder will be responsible developing algorithms and softwares to tackle the difficult problems, including complex signal processing, as well as pushing for practical use of the devices. Successful candidates are expected to conduct independent research and publish his/her research work in respected journals and conferences and also have the opportunity to commercialize the IP.
Applicants should have a Phd degree in Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering, or other related disciplines. The post holder will be required to travel both within China and abroad to conduct research and attend conferences. The post holder will need to undertake some light teaching duties and guide graduate students in related areas.
