Post-doc position is available to work on drone detection, classification of the observed objects, obstacle avoidance and beyond visual line of sight flight. The goal is to be able to fly swarm of UAVs beyond visual line of sight. Radars and cameras on UAVs will be used as sensors.
Knowledge of tracking and signal processing is desired. Knowledge of machine learning and computer vision is required. Experience with UAVs and/or with radar signal processing is beneficial.
You will be working in a multidisciplinary team that includes scientists in different fields from the University of Ottawa as well as several other Canadian universities and research centers.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in STEM disciplines obtained in the past three years, with evidence of research productivity. Applicants must show that their previous research or industrial work is related to the project. Good oral and written English skills are required. Good oral and written English skills are required.
