The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tufts University is seeking candidates to teach an in-person sophomore level statics and strength of materials course in the fall 2022 semester. The preferred course time is Monday and Wednesday from 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM, but scheduling flexibility may be possible for exceptional candidates.
The department, which is dedicated to growing its research base while maintaining excellence in teaching, has core disciplines in four areas: (1) Thermal Fluid Systems, (2) Material Mechanics and Processing, (3) Robotic, Aeronautic and Automated Systems, and (4) Product Design and Human Factors. Qualifications
We are looking for experienced engineers with strong teaching and communication skills. Advanced degree or equivalent industry experience is required, PhD is preferred. We will give preference to engineers who have previously demonstrated exceptional teaching skills.
