The Consortium for Engineered Trenchless Technologies (CETT) at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta has an opening for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the area of underground trenchless construction.
CETT was established in 2012 as a unique collaboration between the University, industry pioneers, and local municipality in Alberta, Canada. CETT is engaged in cutting-edge research relating to several industry-driven projects in the areas of geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, pipeline installation, and construction management and risk analysis.
The position with CETT will provide the opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow to engage in applied research, publish papers, advise graduate students, and partake in developing grants and proposals. The required qualifications include:
-A PhD in one the following or related areas: geotechnical engineering, underground utility and telecommunication construction, structural engineering, or construction engineering
-Strong oral and written communication skills in English
-A record of publication in peer-reviewed journals
