The Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatics Engineering (CEGE) at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) is currently accepting applications for multiple Postdoctoral Research Associates. Being highly active in sponsored research focusing on urban mobility/infrastructure and water resources/environmental sustainability, the Department hosts the Freight Mobility Research Institute (fmri.fau.edu), which is a TIER 1 University Transportation Center sponsored by the US Department of Transportation, and the Center for Water Resiliency and Risk Reduction (cwr3.fau.edu).

The responsibilities of the Postdoctoral Research Associate will include but are not limited to leading funded research projects on watershed master plans, supervising graduate research assistants, and writing research proposals, reports, and papers.
- Ph.D. in Water Resources, GIS, Civil/Environmental Engineering, and related fields
- Demonstrated research credentials
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Potential to collaborate on the development of research proposals and grants
- Demonstrated leadership/managerial skills
Research experience in hydrology, water resource engineering, flood modeling, flood control, geospatial engineering, remote sensing, GIS, and related areas.
Duration of the Position
These are full‐time (40 hours/week) positions with a contract for 12 months and an opportunity to extend to multiple years, subject to performance and funding availability. The position will start immediately after the background check for employment is completed.
