FACULTY POSITIONS IN CYBERSECURITY & CYBER ENGINEERING
COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND SCIENCE, LOUISIANA TECH UNIVERSITY

Applications are invited for multiple positions for faculty in cybersecurity within the College of Engineering and Science (COES) at Louisiana Tech University at all levels (Assistant, Associate, or Professor). The vision of the College of Engineering and Science at Louisiana Tech is to be a world leader in integrating engineering and science in education and research. The College is experiencing significant growth in computational research initiatives through DoD and allied funding agencies. We are therefore undertaking an aggressive faculty recruiting campaign to enhance our overall teaching and research capacity in cybersecurity. To build a diverse workforce, the college encourages applications from women, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and minorities. We are especially interested in candidates who want to join a faculty who are merging fundamental theory, concepts, and approaches with interdisciplinary domain knowledge to address key societal challenges. To that end, opportunities for collaboration are also available through the Louisiana Tech Research Institute (LTRI) in numerous research areas in the cyber domain.

We are particularly interested in candidates whose interests are primarily focused in cyber-security. Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline. Proven research potential, outstanding teaching skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to high-quality student success are expected. Successful candidates will be expected to perform exceptional research, procure extramural funding to support research, advise graduate and undergraduate students, collaborate with other faculty, and teach effectively both at undergraduate and graduate levels.

Louisiana Tech is designated as a national university by the 2021 U.S. News & World Report college rankings. COES currently enrolls almost 3,000 students, including over 150+ masters and 120+ doctoral students. Annual research expenditures of the College have averaged $10M over the past three years. The College just opened a new $37M Integrated Engineering and Science Education Building that provides 128,800 square feet of space to expand its focus on project-driven curricula. COES launched the nation’s first B.S. in Cyber Engineering in 2012 and has grown its graduates in computer science, cyber engineering and related areas to support targeted research and development efforts in the region. More details about the college and the programs of Computer Science and Cyber Engineering are available at: http://coes.latech.edu. Both undergraduate and graduate degrees are offered in the disciplines.
