Job Description
Perform experiments to control large amplitude vibrations of structures. The experiments are of fundamental nature that involve adding damping particles (referred to as secondary system) that would draw energy from the structure (primary system) to reduce its motion. The experimental data will then be used to develop nonlinear representation of the damping induced by the particles’ motions. Education: Ph.D. Degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent.
