Multiple Ph.D. positions are immediately available in ICON (Innovative Control Of Networked multi-agent systems) lab at New Mexico Tech University in Fall 2022 or Spring 2023. Due to time constraints, students currently in the U.S. will be ONLY considered.
The research topic is multi-robot (agent) systems and control. Some backgrounds in mathematics and control theory are required. Experiences with programming (C/C++/Python), Ardupilot, ROS, and GAZEBO are a big plus. This project is to develop a new control scheme of multi-agent systems as well as its implementation for wildlife monitoring using a multi-robot system.
If selected, the student will be supported by NSF fund over multiple years.
