The Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering is seeking outstanding candidates for Research Assistant Professorships.
Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree; (ii) strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching; and (iii) outstanding accomplishments and research potential. Applicants in the following areas are particularly welcome:
•Medical Robotics, Service Robotics, Embodied Intelligence, etc.
•Design and Manufacturing
•Energy/ Building/Environmental Technologies
•Intelligent Systems
•MEMS/Nano/Material Technologies
•Systems and Control
The appointees will (a) develop an externally funded high impact research programme; (b) teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses; and (c) provide service to the Department/ Faculty/ University, professional organizations and the community.
Appointments will initially be made on contract basis for up to three years, renewable subject to performance, funding availability and mutual agreement. The start date will be negotiated with the successful applicants.
