A Postdoctoral position in Pharmaceutical Engineering is available at UConn, to conduct research in the areas of Coarse Grained Molecular Modeling (CGMD) of drug encapsulation in liposomes/micelles during pharmaceutical manufacturing in an ongoing project funded by US-FDA under the 21st Century Cure Acts.
This position is available immediately. Requirements include a PhD in mechanical, chemical, biomedical, materials engineering, physics, mechanics, applied math, chemistry, or related field. Individual with solid experience in Coarse Grained Molecular Dynamics (CGMD) is required. The experience of Machine Learning and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) based modeling is a big plus but not required.
The candidate should be familiar with some of the following or related software:
CHARMM, LAMMPS, GROMACS, CAFEMOL, VOTCA, MAGIC, SMD, OPENMD, COMSOL, and Ansys-Fluent, to be run in HPC-LINUX/GPU environment.
