Fully-funded Ph.D. positions in the Space Systems Laboratory in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering at Kent State University. Multiple positions are available in the area of astrodynamics, space vehicle dynamics and control, and advanced exploration concepts. Candidates must have an interest in space systems and space exploration in general.
Ideal candidates should have an undergraduate or graduate degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or a closely related field of engineering and science. The candidate should be self-motivated and committed to a Ph.D. degree. Candidates with experience in astrodynamics, dynamic and control, modeling and simulation, and numerical methods are highly desired. Hands-on hardware experience is also a plus.
