The Department of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (ChBME) at the University of Missouri seeks an energetic, dynamic Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor in Chemical Engineering. The position is a 9-month, full-time, non-tenure track (NTT) teaching appointment.
NTT teaching faculty will augment the existing faculty within the program and be responsible for teaching an array of courses. Candidates will be expected to teach three to four courses per semester at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, and to perform institutional and professional service. Highly desirable candidates can teach broadly across the breadth of ChBME engineering topics. In addition to teaching, the candidate will have opportunities to mentor students, serve on graduate student committees, and participate in education-focused research projects. We are seeking candidates who are committed to teaching excellence.
Earned PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field. Preference will be given for those with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Experience teaching Chemical Engineering core courses particularly valued.
Successful candidates will be evaluated on outstanding communication and teamwork skills, demonstration of the application of innovative teaching methods, evidence of teaching effectiveness in engineering, and be committed to student success.
