    The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for a Visiting Professor position for September 2020 or January 2021. The Department is seeking an individual with the dedication and commitment to teaching and service, necessary to provide a high-quality education to its student body. The successful candidate should be capable of teaching courses at the undergraduate level such as: Capstone Design, Environmental Engineering Ethics and Professional Practice, Air Quality, Fluid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics Laboratory and Environmental Engineering Laboratory. The successful candidate would also be involved in advising undergraduate students, service and outreach activities; and actively participating in continuing efforts to improve the department's educational mission. The appointment is for 9 months per year, and renewable annually, based on performance. Opportunities exist for additional compensation by teaching in the summer months. Position is subject to funding.
    Appointment to begin as early as September 2020. The potential for future appointment as Non Tenure-Track Assistant Professor exists.

    Minimum Qualifications (Required):
    • Undergraduate and Master degrees in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
    • Doctoral degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
    • The ability to work effectively with diverse groups

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Record of successful teaching experience at the college level
    • Registration as a Professional Engineer and relevant industrial experience

    This is a non-tenured teaching faculty position.
