    Four Open Positions for University Lecturer / Teaching Professor in Computer Science and Information Science

    The Departments of Computer Science and Informatics in the Ying Wu College of Computing (YWCC) at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) seek University Lecturers or Teaching Professors to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science, Information Science, and Technology.

    NJIT has recently expanded its graduate Data Science programs to Jersey City, just across the Hudson River from the financial district of Lower Manhattan in New York City, where it serves the many working professionals in that region. The instructional staff of YWCC are expected to teach at this site as needed.

    POSITIONS IN COMPUTER SCIENCE
    Requirements: Candidates should be knowledgeable in software engineering and programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python). Expertise in Cybersecurity is desirable. Knowledge in project management, operating systems, computer networks, and databases is an advantage. The successful candidate will also be involved in creating course content and materials with a focus on experiential and project-based learning.

    Qualifications: Successful candidates must have an MS degree in Computer Science or a related area. A PhD degree and/or prior university teaching experience are advantages.

    POSITION IN INFORMATICS (INFORMATION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY)
    Requirements: Candidates should be knowledgeable and able to teach classes in some of the following areas: IT system administration and security, network administration and security, the development of web applications, database and cloud administration, social networks, E-commerce technology, or related topics.

    Qualifications: Successful candidates must have an MS degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or related computational area. A PhD degree and/or prior university teaching experience are advantages.
