    Department of Civil Engineering at Boğaziçi University, Turkey, is seeking to expand its junior faculty in the below-given areas of research.     About CE Department of Bogazici University

    Boğaziçi University Civil Engineering Department was inaugurated in 1912 as part of the formerly known Robert College School of Engineering, together with mechanical and electrical engineering as the three areas of instruction. Since then, the civil engineering program has continuously evolved to better address the needs of the students and the profession while maintaining its founding principles. Robert College was transformed into Boğaziçi University in 1971, leading to a significant expansion in the following decades. Currently, the Department of Civil Engineering offers Ph.D. and MS programs in addition to its undergraduate program. Around 70 undergraduate and 35 graduate new students are admitted to the program every year, and a total of 15 full-time faculty members oversee the curriculum. The undergraduate program is accredited by ABET.

    The departmental focus in research is on sustainable solutions in line with the sustainable development goals of Turkey and the world. The main areas of concentration in alphabetical order are Construction Management, Construction Materials, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Hydraulics & Coastal Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Transportation Engineering. Department laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art measurement and testing systems which allow researchers to conduct up to date research projects on the innovative subjects.
