Applications are invited for Lecturer positions in the Computer Science and Cyber Engineering programs within the College of Engineering and Science (COES) at Louisiana Tech University.
The vision of the College of Engineering and Science is to be a world leader in integrating engineering and science in education and research. Lecturers in the COES are highly respected, integral parts of the college’s mission and structure. In addition to their central role of teaching, they populate and chair various committees, provide leadership in many courses and other areas of institutional need, and are eligible for a promotion pathway that parallels the traditional tenure track. The ideal candidate will have earned a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Cyber Engineering, or a closely related field. Demonstration of potential for outstanding teaching ability, written and oral communication skills, as well as a commitment to demanding high-quality student work are expected. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to work collegially as well as independently, have excellent leadership and organizational skills, and demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning via a willingness to keep abreast of developments in the field. All areas of expertise in the discipline will be considered. A teaching load of 27 semester hours per nine-month academic year is anticipated, spread across three 10 week quarters
