    King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, tenure-track, beginning August 2024.


     


    King’s College initiated a Bachelor of Science program in Mechanical Engineering in fall 2017.  This program, along with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering program, enables students to earn engineering degrees with the benefits of a small college environment, including modest class sizes, personalized attention, high-impact teaching, and a strong liberal arts experience.  The Bachelor of Science degree programs in Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET.


     


    Requirements include a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.  The successful applicant must be comfortable teaching a wide variety of undergraduate mechanical engineering courses.  Preference will be given towards applicants with prior experience teaching some combination of: engineering materials, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, system dynamics, statistics, mechatronics, manufacturing systems and mechanical design.  Preference will further be given to applicants with industry experience.


     


    Particularly welcome are candidates interested in providing students with meaningful research opportunities and who are supportive of the Holy Cross Mission and Catholic identity of the College.
