  • Project Officer (Structural Dynamics/Structural Engineering)

    The Protective Technology Research Centre (PTRC) of NTU is recruiting one project officer for the project on blast resistance of precast structures.


     


    Key Responsibilities:




    • Literature reviews on current precast wall details, and impact, penetration, and close-in blast tests.




    • Conduct pre-test simulations and find appropriate details.




    • Specimen preparation.




    • Prepare test setup and conduct impact and penetration tests




    • Conduct post-test analysis and simulations




    • Conduct parametric studies to validate.




    • Help Research Fellow to draft guideline, test analysis and simulation reports




     


    Job Requirements:




    • Bachelor’s degree and good grades in courses such as Structural Dynamics and Structural Engineering or related fields.




    • Good knowledge of structural dynamics and blast analysis of structure.




    • Experienced in using software such as MATLAB, Inventor, HyperMesh and other data analysis tools for numerical simulation and modeling.




    • Proficient in using simulation software such as ANSYS or LS-Dyna for complex engineering or physical modeling.




    • Experienced in conducting comprehensive literature reviews and incorporating relevant research into reports and papers.




    • Experience in dynamic experimental work such as impact and penetration tests (for model validation).




    • Good knowledge of data statistics (curve fitting and formula derivation).




    • Skilled in writing clear, concise, and structured scientific papers and technical reports.
