  • Research Assistant (Edge Computer for Translational Medicine)

    The School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering (EEE) is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University.     EEE is inviting applications for the position of Research Assistant. The Research Assistant will work on a project to conduct the investigation on development of ingestible robotic system to enable continuous monitoring of disease relevant biomarkers and decision-making for on-demand delivery of therapeutics in the gastro intestinal tract in a non-invasive and automated manner. Novel sensors and actuators as well as their circuit design interface and algorithms for will be investigated.


     


    Key Responsibilities:




    • Development of circuit for implementing FPGA and microcontroller for implementing edge computing in ingestible/implantable electronics.




    • Development of AI accelerator for encryption of wireless communication in medical electronics.




     


    Job Requirements:




    • Bachelor in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field




    • Expertise in embedded system and FPGA




    • Knowledge in interfacing circuit design for low power sensing and wireless communication 




    • Experiences in biosensors and actuators for biomedical applications are highly preferred




    • Publication track record is preferred




    • Proficiency in basics of programming languages such as C, C++ and Python




    • Proficiency in English.
