    Launched in 2017, the Cities of Tomorrow (CoT) R&D programme is a multi-agency effort led by MND that seeks to sustain Singapore’s success in the decades ahead by leveraging on Research and Innovation (R&I). The CoT aims to establish Singapore as a highly liveable, sustainable, and resilient city of the future, and as a vibrant urban solutions hub, through a suite of carefully curated research to develop urban solutions that address our national needs.


    Centre for Urban Solutions (CUS) is a research centre under the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE). The vision of the centre is to become a world leader in innovative solutions and technologies for urban centres and built environment. It aims to provide leadership in research and development in innovative solutions for sustainable living and infrastructures for future cities.


    The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) is inviting applications for the position of Project Officer. The Project Officer will be based in CEE and will be expected to work effectively for advancing the engineering solutions to develop a new biocement product for a research project under the CoT programme. The position is expected to perform collaborative research to assist Principal Investigator (PI) and senior research staffs to meet the project objectives.


     


    Duties and Responsibilities:




    • Conduct laboratory experiments to develop and investigate the new biocement product.




    • Assist senior research staff to handle project logistic issues




    • Assist in project data gathering and report writing.




     


    Key Competency and Qualifications Requirements:




    • Bachelor in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related discipline




    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.




    • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.




    • Experience in soil mechanics laboratory testing is an advantage.




    • Proficiency in oral and written English as required to publish research.
