Applicants should possess a relevant doctoral degree in one or more of the following areas: - Security in Computer or Communication Networks or other Cyber Physical Systems - Network-Layer or Protocol-Level Security - Data Encryption and Privacy - Blockchain Security - Signal Processing related Security (e.g. biometrics) - AI-based Deepfake or anti-Deepfake Techniques
Responsibilities The job holder is expected to make useful contributions to fulfil the University's vision and mission. Specifically, the candidate is expected to: - Develop and lead an innovative research programme of international quality - Publish high quality papers in reputable peer-reviewed journals - Secure competitive research grants and develop research programmes - Supervise research personnel - Contribute to teaching and course development at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels - Supervise undergraduate and graduate students undertaking research projects. - Undertake administrative and/or leadership roles. - Contribute to other service-related activities assigned by School and University. - Contribute to professional services
Requirements Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply: - A Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering or in a relevant discipline with an outstanding scholarship record and a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching. - Extensive knowledge of within his/her fields of research - Ability and strong drive to lead and contribute to inter-disciplinary research and large-scale projects for key applications - Evidence of a developing international reputation in his/her field of research, for example fellowships, awards, invited presentations at international conferences, journal editorships or otherwise. - Established track record of academic publications of international quality. - Proven track record of securing funding as Co-I or lead investigator.
