The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CHBE) in the College of Engineering at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for Regular faculty position or visiting faculty position at the assistant, associate, or full professor level commencing in Spring 2025 or Fall 2025.
The applicant is required to have a PhD in Chemical or Biological Engineering or a closely related field and show evidence of a significant teaching portfolio. Excellence in teaching and research, in addition to experience in the American model of higher education, are highly desirable. Applications with background in Biological Engineering/Biomedical Engineering/Biochemical Engineering/Biotechnology are preferred.

The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering has approximately 200 undergraduate students, 15 graduate students, 12 full-time faculty and 3 lab instructors. Students and faculty represent very diverse backgrounds and nationalities; approximately 90 nationalities are present on campus. The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering, and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering.
