    Work description



    • Development of a software dashboard for cataloging modular bioinformatics processing pipelines, allowing the user to visually describe processing sequences, based on Web technologies and a scientific workflow system.

    • Define the requirements for the software application;

    • Implement the software module and respective documentation;

    • Perform usability and validation tests of the module;

    • Write the grant activity report.


     


    Academic Qualifications


    Degree in Degree in Informatics and Computing Engineering or similar


     


    Minimum profile required



    • Proven experience with the Python 3+ programming language;

    • Proved experience with Full-stack Web technologies;

    • Experience with the TypesScript programming language;

    • Degree average greater than or equal to 13 (scale from 0-20);


     


    Preference factors



    • Experience with the Docker software delivery system;

    • Experience with the FastAPI framework;

    • Experience with the Nextflow workflow language;

    • Experience in collaborative environments where teamwork is a factor;

    • Excellent performance in programming, software development course units.


     


    Maintenance stipend: € 601,12, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.


     


    INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".


     


    The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
