The Department of Electrical Engineering in the College of Engineering of the University of South Florida (USF) invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level. Highly qualified candidates from all areas of electrical and computer engineering are encouraged to apply; preferred areas include: Computer Architectures; AI and Neuromorphic Computing; Multicore Processors and Parallel Programming; Distributed Computing; Quantum Computing and Communications; Nanoelectronics and Semiconductors; Packaging and Heterogeneous Integration; Analog, Digital, Mixed-signal, RF IC Design; System on a Chip; Hardware Security.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful applicants are expected to conduct research and teach in areas across the electrical and computer engineering disciplines. Successful candidates must be committed to the academic success of students, broadening participation in engineering, and support collaborations with areas of excellence across the university and beyond. Qualified candidates should have demonstrated excellence in scholarly research and publications, the strong potential for sustaining an externally funded research program, and a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students. Candidates should have completed or be near completion of a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
