    Work description


    The work plan consists of analysing the state of the art in data markets and developing new algorithmic approaches for data markets in the energy sector. These approaches will be validated with real-world data across various use cases to assess robustness, efficiency, and scalability. Subsequently, the results obtained and the respective conclusions will be disseminated in international journals and/or conferences, contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge and the promotion of innovative technological solutions.


     


    Academic Qualifications



    • Previous academic background in Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related area;


     


    Minimum profile required



    • Proficiency programming with PythonSolid understanding of machine learning fundamentals


     


    Preference factors



    • Knowledge of machine learning methods.

    • Experience in time series forecasting.

    • Ability to analyze and handle large volumes of data.

    • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

    • Experience with Git (Version Control System).


     


    Maintenance stipend: € 990,98 or 1259,64, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.


     


    INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".


     


    The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
