    Work description


    This work will begin with a study of the state of the art related to AI technologies, including Generative AI (GenAI), and their applications to solve software engineering challenges. Next, the feasibility of using these technologies for integration into Agentic RAGs in industrial contexts will be studied through the development of prototypes. These prototypes will be validated at a quantitative and qualitative level.


    Throughout the work, the steps necessary for implementing the prototypes will be described in order to allow the reproducibility of the developed solutions. Finally, scientific publications will be written about the results obtained.


     


    Academic Qualifications



    • Degree in Computer Engineering and Computing.


     


    Minimum profile required



    • Degree in Computer Engineering and Computing.

    • Experience with large-scale software development.

    • Knowledge of agile methodologies and software engineering.

    • Knowledge of artificial intelligence, namely Generative AI.


     


    Preference factors



    • Experience in cloud software development.

    • Large scale software development experience.

    • Experience in AI-based software development, namely GenAI.


     


    Maintenance stipend: € 601,12, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.


     


    INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".


     


    The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
