    Position Summary


    Adjunct Instructor openings available in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) at the University at Buffalo (UB) through a variety of part-time positions. Enthusiastic, forward-thinking faculty are invited to apply, particularly those who can operate effectively in a team environment and in a diverse community of students and faculty, helping all students reach their full potential.

    Candidates should have the ability to teach a range of seated or on-line courses in a discipline of engineering at the undergraduate or graduate level, as needed.

    Successful candidates will:



      • Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of subject.

      • Provide students with appropriate learning materials and expertise in assigned subjects.

      • Evaluate students performance and provide effective feedback to guide student learning and success.

      • Contribute to maintaining an inclusive and collaborative environment.

    The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences has 9 academic departments: Biomedical Engineering; Chemical and Biological Engineering; Computer Science and Engineering; Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Engineering Education; Industrial and Systems Engineering; Materials Design and Innovation; and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

    Minimum Qualifications




      • For a position that requires teaching an undergraduate course: a bachelors degree in the relevant discipline/field.


    • For a position that requires teaching a graduate course: a masters or PhD degree in the relevant discipline/field.

    • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
