    We are seeking an interdisciplinary Research Associate/Research Fellow with expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML), pedagogical research in Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), and web/mobile application development (both front-end and back-end). The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing AI-enhanced educational technologies, while also contributing to pedagogical research to improve teaching and learning outcomes in higher education. The Research Associate/Research Fellow is also expected to support teaching activities as required by the school.


    Key Responsibilities:




    • Conduct research on the use of AI/ML in education, including personalized learning systems, intelligent feedback, and learning analytics




    • Investigate and evaluate innovative pedagogical models relevant to higher education, such as blended learning, active learning, and flipped classrooms




    • Design, develop, and deploy web and mobile applications that support educational research and technology-enhanced learning




    • Lead or contribute to full-stack software development, including both front-end (e.g., React, Flutter, HTML/CSS/JavaScript) and back-end (e.g., Node.js, Django, Flask, databases) components




    • Work closely with faculty and software engineers to translate pedagogical needs into scalable digital solutions




    • Design and implement empirical studies to evaluate the effectiveness and usability of developed tools and interventions




    • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences




    • Support grant writing and project reporting




    • Mentor student assistants or interns as needed.




    • Assist the school in various teaching activities, including instructing or supervision of labs and tutorials.




    Job Requirements:




    • MSc/MEng (Research Associate) or PhD (Research Fellow) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Educational Technology, or related field




    • Strong proficiency in full-stack development for web/mobile applications, including front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Flutter, Vue) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python/Django/Flask, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases)




    • Demonstrated knowledge of AI/ML methods, such as supervised learning, NLP, or deep learning, with application to educational contexts




    • Understanding of learning theories, instructional design, or pedagogical innovation in higher education




    • Experience with learning platforms, learning analytics, or educational research tools




    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders




    • Strong project management, problem-solving, and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams




    • Good written and oral communication skills.
