  • PhD Position in Brain Injury Biomechanics
    Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Industrial Engineering
    University of Texas at San Antonio

    A fully funded PhD position is available in the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Industrial Engineering at the University of Texas at San Antonio. The successful applicant will join a research team focused on injury biomechanics, specifically traumatic brain injury prevention technologies. The project involves both experimental and computational work in impact biomechanics, sensor integration, signal processing, and the design of injury protection systems.

    Qualifications:



    • Background in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (B.S. or M.S. required)

    • Strong understanding of impact mechanics, structural design, finite element modeling, and materials behavior

    • Experience with CAD software and finite element tools (especially LS-DYNA) is highly desirable
