    Lawrence Technological University

    Overview:


    A postdoctoral position is available in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Lawrence Technological University. The successful candidate will work on an NSF-funded project to study the interactions between engineered nanoparticles and biomacromolecules in the biological environment.


    Responsibilities:



    • Establish in-vitro cell culture model, and conduct qualitative and quantitative assessment of cell- material interactions.

    • Train undergraduates and graduate students on lab skills related to the project.

    • Conduct literature survey and prepare manuscripts for publications in peer-reviewed journals.


    Qualifications:


    Education: Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or a related field completed within the last five years, or soon to be completed.


    Experience: Prior experience is preferred in one or more of the following technical areas: nanomaterials, cell culture and characterization, fluorescence microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and proteomics.


    Skills: Strong experimental design and analytical skills, strong motivation and ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
