    Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialization and deployment. ERI@N has multiple Interdisciplinary Research Programmes which focus on translational Research, Development & Deployment which focus on specific area of the energy value chain, and a number of Living labs and Testbeds which facilitate large scale technology deployment enabling validation and demonstration of real-world applications


    We are looking for a Research Fellow to conduct research. The role will focus on power grids.


    Key Responsibilities:




    • Conducting research in the area of power grid in the context of decarbonization




    • Contributing in writing research proposals




    • Writing research reports, deliverables and scientific publications




    • Contributing in guiding research students at a Master or doctorate level




    • Presenting research advances and outcomes at relevant events




    • Coordinating the tackled research work with ERIAN/NTU researchers and other involved institutions




    • Organize seminars and contribute to the scientific animation of ERIAN




    Job Requirements:




    • PhD (for Research Fellow and above equivalent) degree in power systems or related field




    • At least 1 years of relevant experiences in power system modelling / technical hands-on experience in power grid dynamics and control




    • Familiarity with power grid modelling tools




    • Good written and oral communication skills




    • Proficiency in numeric, analytical, and control skills




    • Competent in team working, good interaction with funding institutions and industry




    • Ability to work in autonomy, to respect timelines, to be well organized, to report on a regular basis to the management, to continue to learn




    • Leadership Competency:




      • Ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels




      • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.




      • Ability to establish network of contacts in the region and search for funding at all levels




      • Ability to lead business meetings and seminars.
