Three tenure-track positions

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the American University of Beirut invites applications for three tenure-track faculty positions, preferably at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor, in the areas of (1) mechanical design, (2) materials science/engineering, and (3) mechatronics with a focus on robotics.

The successful candidate must hold a doctorate in mechanical engineering or a related field and must demonstrate potential for quality research and teaching.  faculty are expected to teach and conduct research in their areas of specialty, with emphasis on mechanical design theory and methodology, CAD/CAE, and design optimization; experimental, analytical, or computational modeling within materials science and engineering; and robotics and mechatronics with applications involving data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or deep machine learning.
