    Institute For Digital Molecular Analytics & Science (IDMxS) is a unique interdisciplinary Research Centre of Excellence (RCE), funded by National Research Foundation, Ministry of Education (Singapore), Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore. Hosted by NTU, IDMxS is focused on development of core science to drive a paradigm shift in molecular detection and analysis to link the biomolecular world of life with the networked world of technology.


    IDMxS is looking for a highly experienced and motivated individual to join us as a Research Fellow on further develop translational potential of IDMxS technologies within the institute. 


    Key Responsibilities:



    • Design and fabricate microfluidics devices for digital detection assays for projects at various stages, including proof-of-concept, prototype design, optimization, and validation.

    • Highly motivated in applying microfluidics for different biochemical or cell-based systems.

    • Stay up to date with the latest trends in fabrication techniques, materials, technologies and applications associated with microfluidics.

    • Develop microfluidics as a core technology in the research centre.

    • Ensure effective and efficient communications among group members.

    • Ensure accurate and systematic documentation of laboratory work.

    • Draft scientific publications, present research findings internally and externally.

    • Comply with all laboratory safety standards and guidelines.

    • Assist in lab management matters when necessary.

    • Train junior members of the team.


    Job Requirements:



    • PhD/Masters in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or other related disciplines

    • Experience in microfluidics design and microfabrication is a must.

    • Additional experience in biochemistry, assay development, cell culture, digital assay / digital PCR, microscopy and image analysis is preferred.

    • Familiar with lab operation, lab safety and management matters.

    • Strong communication skills and ability to write research reports, publish and critically review publications

    • Self-driven, highly motivated, organized, and responsible individual

    • Team player
