Through excellence in academics, research, and innovation, the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) aims to nurture and develop young leaders in engineering and computer science with clear direction and vision and with creativity and sound personal values-leaders who will pave the way for the development of science and technology to increase labor productivity and to benefit society.
For the first academic year 2020-2021, the College of Engineering and Computer Science offers 3 degree programs: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. With our focus on ABET standards, Cornell University’s certified curricula, world-class international and Vietnamese faculty members, modern pedagogical approaches, and infrastructure at the forefront of technology, we will prepare our students to become leaders and innovators with entrepreneurial mindsets, who will be employed by top employers or who will be self-employed. For the academic year 2020-2021, CECS will offer research-based graduate studies focusing on AI, Data Science, Business Analytics, and Innovation.
With a vision to become a research-focused college, the College of Engineering and Computer Science will also offer different graduate programs and provide the best research environment for our faculty members to conduct world-class research and to pursue advances in technology. Moreover, with the advantage of being in the ecosystem of Vingroup with a number of technology companies such as VinTech, Vin BigData, VinAI, VinBrain, VinSmart, and VinFast, some faculty in the College may work closely with these companies in research to create products and solutions with breakthrough technology.
