The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) invites applications for full-time tenure-track positions at the level of assistant, associate or full professor. The Department offers an interdisciplinary research and education program housed within a top-ranked College of Engineering. Our faculty have pioneered and contributed to the field of biomedical engineering, including cell and tissue engineering, neural engineering, biomaterials and nanotechnology, biomedical imaging, medical devices and robotics, and biomedical computation. Candidates with established research interests and accomplishments in the above areas are invited to apply.

Exceptional candidates in any area of biomedical engineering synergistic to our existing research strengths will be considered. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or a related field, have evidence of excellence in research and dedication to teaching and mentoring. Successful candidates will be expected to develop an internationally recognized and externally funded research program, have strong commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring, and initiate interdisciplinary and collaborative research.
