Project: On chip whispering gallery mode optical microcavities for emerging microcontaminant determination in waters
Duration Grant: from 2018-09-01 to 2019-03-31 (7) – Eventually renewable until the project conclusion or budget.

Project overview: The main goal of the project is to develop robust interrogation techniques to track wavelength shifts in micro resonator sensors. In particular, scanning laser, dithering, and interferometric techniques should be tested for tracking and multiplexing the wavelength shifts of very narrow resonant modes of micro resonators, in the context of biosensor applications.
Academic Qualifications: Bsc in Physics, Physics Engineering or similar
Minimum Profile required: Bsc in Physics or Physics engineering with strong knowledge in Optics and experience in laboratorial environment. Good knowledge of optics and electronics.
Monthly Grant: €745,00 (Degree) according to the Stipends values of the grants awarded directly by the FCT, paid by bank transfer.

Notification of results: The results of the selection process will be disseminated to interested parties by mail, as referred to in Clause 8 of INESC TEC Grants Regulation.
