Construction Engineering and Management – Extended Term Appointment
The Department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering invites applications for an Extended Term Appointment (ETA) faculty member in the area of Construction Engineering and Management (CEM) at the rank of Lecturer. Applicants must possess a PhD or equivalent degree in CEM or a related engineering discipline. The candidate must have a strong commitment to teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels in the department, primarily in the area of Construction Engineering and Management.

Under the provisions of the current CUFA Collective Agreement, the primary responsibility of an ETA is course delivery with an expectation to teach up to seven courses in an academic year. ETAs may also be asked to supervise students’ project work, and contribute to Department and program administration, including the implementation of CEAB Graduate Attributes. The initial appointment is for an approximately three-year period with the possibility of reappointment subject to the availability of work and a positive evaluation of the individual’s performance. Membership or eligibility for membership in a Canadian professional engineering association is required. Knowledge of French is an asset. The position will commence June 1, 2019 or soon thereafter.
