Al Akhawayn University (AUI) is an independent, not-for-profit, co-educational, Moroccan university with a globally oriented, English-language, liberal arts curriculum based on the American system. The university is composed of three schools: School of Business Administration, School of Science and Engineering and School of Social Sciences and Humanities. The University has approximately 2100 undergraduate and graduate level students in a residential campus environment. The main campus of the University is located in Ifrane, a resort town in the Middle Atlas Mountains approximately 60km from the Imperial cities of Fes and Meknes. There are approximately 140 faculty members; about 40% of whom are international. The University is accredited through the New England Commission on Higher Education (NECHE). Three Computing and Engineering programs of the School of Science and engineering are ABET accredited, and the freshly established others are in line for accreditation.
