The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at the University of Utah Asia Campus (U Asia Campus: https://asiacampus.utah.edu/) invites applications for Career-line (non-tenure-line ranks of Instructor (Lecturer), Assistant Professor (Lecturer), Associate Professor (Lecturer), Professor (Lecturer), renewable one-year contract) positions with focus on the earlier career-line ranks for the U Asia campus location in Songdo, Korea. The responsibilities include teaching courses in Electrical Engineering (EE) including introductory classes on circuits, physics, signals and systems, and/or semiconductor device physics, etc. (in English). The positions starting date is for the Spring Semester 2023, with appointment beginning on Feb. 1st, 2023, in New Songdo City, South Korea. Applicants should hold an EE/CE/CS/Physics PhD or an equivalent degree by the time of the appointment and exhibit a strong commitment to teaching. Experience with and interest in teaching in a multilingual context are preferred, and international teaching experience is also preferred.

U Asia Campus full-time faculty members are provided with housing and a health benefit plan. The U Asia Campus also provides some personal and professional travel expenses and professional development funds.

U Asia Campus is part of a multi-university campus in New Songdo City, South Korea. The city has a well-established transportation network including Incheon International Airport which allows easy travel to international destinations, as well as a convenient subway to Seoul within an hour. U Asia Campus is recognized as a top global education hub in Northeast Asia and around the world with access to the University of Utah’s diverse faculty, staff, and creative academic culture at the Asia Campus. U Asia Campus hosts several undergraduate programs, including Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communication, Film and Media Arts, Accounting, Information Systems, Psychology, and Urban Ecology. All non-language courses are conducted in English.
