A postdoctoral position is available to work on a thermal desalination projects. Applicants must hold Ph.D. degrees in mechanical Engineering or closely related area(s) (such as Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering). Preference will be given to those applicants with strong background and experiences in one or more of the following areas: thermal desalination, membrane distillation, vapor compression distillation, solar energy, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mass and energy transport.
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as evidenced by refereed journal publications and conference presentations. The most important criterion is that applicants be highly-motivated, self-starters.
Salary is negotiable, based on the University of California Pay Schedule and commensurate with experience.
