Expertise: My major research area is biomedical image processing. My interest on image processing is mainly inspired by the curiosity about the process of from images to knowledge, hoping that technological innovations may lead to interesting scientific discoveries and improvement of health care systems. My other research interests include multimedia data processing and compression, pattern recognition, bioinformatics, computer vision, and data mining.
