Dr. Dababneh’s research interests include advanced manufacturing, systems engineering, and sustainable manufacturing. More specifically, she has conducted research on cost effective and sustainable production decision making and demand-side energy management. Using optimization theory and mathematical programming methodology, she has investigated and established methods and models enabling electricity and natural gas demand-side energy management for manufacturers. Establishing methodology with judicious complexity coupled with robust computational methods will improve reactive decision making capabilities necessary for reducing cost and energy; which has a major impact on the immersion of the industrial sector in the Smart Grid.
