Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Wahab has over 20 years experience in environmental engineering teaching and research. He is a co-founder and the Technical Director of the Qatar Sustainable Water and Energy Utilization Initiative (QWE). His primary focus is on chemical and physical processes associated with treatment of water and wastewater. He has been involved in funded research projects totaling more than $12M. This research has led to publication of more 50 peer-reviewed articles in leading research journals. He is currently supervising dynamic award-winning research team consists of assistant research scientists, post-doctoral research associates, and graduate students. He is a reviewer for several international scientific journals and funding agencies. He has taught a variety of short courses on Water- and Environmental-related topics to industrial and governmental agencies in Qatar. He is member of several technical committees for a number of governmental and non-governmental agencies in Qatar.
