(1) develop flexible and stretchable electronics and optoelectronics using advanced soft materials, and
(2) design new soft materials using computational methods. The target applications include soft robotics, soft neuromorphic devices, “point-ofcare” biosensing devices, flexible display and biocompatible optogenetic devices. Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) will be used as a unique tool for material synthesis, molecular engineering and device fabrication of soft materials. Besides experimental efforts, another important direction of our group is to apply machine learning techniques in material property prediction and design of new materials.
