His research interests include membrane transport, membrane fouling; integrated biofilm and adsorption processes; advanced oxidation processes using free-radicals for the destruction of organic contaminants in water; and mathematical modeling, design and upscaling of bio-physico-chemical processes. His projects have been sponsored by the U.S.EPA, NSF, utilities, and industries.
