We have excellent collaboration within the department, particularly as a member of the Leaching and Separation Technology group.
My main research interests lie in leaching, adsorption and precipitation, but through collaboration with my colleages have projects in flotation and solvent extraction as well. My chemical background is an excellent basis for examining the principles driving these processes and experience in electrochemistry and analytical techniques greatly assists in these lines of investigation. I have conducted significant work in precious metal, rare earth, nickel and copper extraction as well as iron chemistry and am currently branching into lithium processing.
My two main current projects are around investigating precious metal tellurides and identifying alternative treatment methods for rare earth minerals.
