The thrust of my research program is in two areas: The first area is on timber Engineering and Mechanics. The focuses on this area is efficient use of wood and wood products in structural application through development of advanced testing, modeling, and analysis techniques to design efficient and safe wood structures. This includes theoretical studies, and experimental testing of joints, scaled-down-structural assemblies (diaphragms) and full-scale building. The second area is on modeling livestock environments for maximum comfort and production.
